What are flash grenades?

Flash grenades, also known as stun grenades, are non-lethal devices used by police and military to temporarily disorient individuals. They produce a very loud bang and a bright flash of light, designed to incapacitate without causing permanent injury. In this story, they were used by Greek police during clashes with migrants.
