What are eclipse glasses?

Eclipse glasses are special filters designed to protect your eyes when looking directly at the sun during an eclipse. Regular sunglasses aren't strong enough. As the UK will see up to 95% coverage on 12 August, it's crucial to use certified glasses to prevent permanent eye damage if you plan to watch it.
