12 August eclipse will dim UK skies

People across Britain will see daylight fade and temperatures drop slightly during an evening partial eclipse. On 12 August the moon will pass between Earth and the sun leaving total darkness only in parts of Greenland, Iceland, northern Russia, Spain and a small corner of Portugal. In London about 90 per cent coverage is expected, while Cornwall reaches 95 percent.
