Pregnant women and under-fives must avoid runny restaurant eggs

Vulnerable people are warned against eating runny eggs from restaurants due to a salmonella outbreak. The Food Standards Agency issued the advice, which also extends to fresh uncooked egg products like mayonnaise. One person has died and over 200 people are ill across the UK, with imported eggs thought to be the cause.
