Indonesia is trialling an experimental way to clear toxic wildfire haze by dropping 1.5 tons of dry ice over South Sumatra. Unlike cloud seeding, which triggers rain, the dry ice is meant to break up haze so it can rise upward. The country faces its worst fire season in a decade, with smog drifting into Malaysia and Singapore and over 200 people named as suspects.
