Germany offers Ukraine €1.3 billion more aid as Russia attacks Kyiv

German Chancellor Friedrich Merz pledged over €1.3 billion in new aid for Ukraine on Sunday during a visit to Kyiv. The package includes about €1 billion for weapons and defence, plus €350 million for winter preparations like generators. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy also announced that 15 agreements, with a combined value exceeding €8.5 billion, had been concluded between the two nations.
