Cook Report Shifts 18 House Seats Toward Democrats

The Cook Political Report moved ratings for 18 more US House races toward Democrats with less than four weeks left until the midterms. Four Republican-held Toss Ups shifted to Lean Democrat and four Lean Republican seats became Toss Ups. Cook now projects Democrats to gain nine to 19 seats, potentially taking 224 to 234 House seats. Heavy Republican advertising has yet to reverse the trend.
