Trump Agrees Putin Deal to Release Russian Diesel

US President Donald Trump said he agreed with Vladimir Putin that Russia will release diesel onto world markets, starting with 300,000 tonnes now, then 500,000 in November and a further million later. Trump claimed prices would fall fast. The US Treasury issued a temporary licence for Russian diesel soon after. Putin's envoy welcomed the energy co-operation. US diesel has doubled since the Iran war began.
