Yelp licenses reviews to OpenAI for better AI search

Yelp is licensing its network of reviews, photos, and business data to OpenAI, allowing ChatGPT to offer improved local recommendations. Yelp's new data licensing model lets the company earn money from its content beyond traditional advertising. Yelp's shares rose by 1.71% to 22.04 Euros on July 23, 2026, following the announcement.
