The BBC News channel is streaming live on YouTube for viewers in the UK and US, in a trial that began on Thursday. The BBC calls it a significant step in reaching audiences who do not tune in through TV or iPlayer. Its rolling coverage spans news, politics, business, technology, culture and sport. The channel already streams on YouTube in Australia, Kenya, Nigeria and Poland.
