UK will outlaw pornography depicting strangulation and incest from November 6

The UK government announced that pornography depicting strangulation and incestuous relationships will become illegal from 6 November. Justice minister Alex Davies-Jones said it's about content that normalises violence, not harmless sexual preferences. The ban follows recommendations from a 2025 review into pornography regulation by Conservative peer Gabby Bertin.
