Yellow heat alert issued for England as temperatures hit 30C

A yellow heat health alert is now in force across central and southern England, with temperatures forecast to reach 30C in some areas today. The UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) issued the alert, warning of minor impacts on health and social care services. Some rain is expected this weekend, especially in the north, but it is unlikely to significantly improve prolonged dry conditions.
