Worcestershire farm grows 30 hectares of legal hemp despite villagers' concerns

A Worcestershire farm has planted 30 hectares of hemp, a legal cannabis variety used for fibres, despite villagers "raising eyebrows". The farm manager, Jake Freestone of Overbury Enterprises, is one of 130 UK licensees for the crop. He says it provides resilience in a changing climate, needs little fertiliser or pesticides, and adds carbon to the soil.
