Trump removes 10% tariff on Irish whiskey after Ireland visit

The 10% tariff on Irish whiskey imports will be removed, US President Donald Trump stated on Sunday. The unexpected announcement was made by him during the Amgen Irish Open prizegiving ceremony, held at his Doonbeg golf resort in Co Clare. The Irish Whiskey Association welcomed the news, saying it would help secure a return to zero tariffs for all drinks exports.
