Thomas Tuchel extends England contract to lead team until 2028
England have secured Thomas Tuchel’s services until the 2028 European Championship after agreeing a new long-term deal with the national team boss. The German coach, first appointed on an 18-month contract, will now remain in charge through the next major tournament on home soil, independent of this summer’s World Cup outcome. The Football Association acted after an unbeaten qualification run, keen to remove doubts about Tuchel’s future and prevent links with a possible return to club football.
