Ukrainian tennis star Elina Svitolina has announced the end of her marriage to French former player Gael Monfils, saying the emotional toll of the war in Ukraine left her needing to find herself again. The world number six said Monfils listened and respected her needs with grace. The couple, who married in 2021, have a four-year-old daughter, Skai, who Svitolina said will always come first.
