The Gloucestershire Runway History Keeps Choosing
The pattern has appeared before. RAF Fairford launched American B-52 missions in the 1991 Gulf War, Kosovo in 1999 and Iraq in 2003, and now B-1 bombers reportedly fly strike missions against Iran from the same runway. The difference this time is the response: Iran's command has publicly named Fairford a legitimate target, and British forces are reported to be on standby.
