Spanish NATO fighter jet shoots down suspected Russian drone in Romanian airspace
This is the fourth time this year that an unmanned aircraft has been intercepted within Romania's borders. A Spanish F-18 military jet safely destroyed the target early on Sunday, after radar tracked its arrival from neighbouring Moldova. Falling wreckage landed on empty ground between two villages, while a NATO spokesperson noted the device was likely Russian.
