What is airspace sovereignty?

Airspace sovereignty means that a country has exclusive control over the airspace above its territory. When a foreign aircraft, like this suspected Russian drone, enters another country's airspace without permission, it's considered a violation of that sovereignty. This is why the Spanish NATO jet intercepted and destroyed the drone over Romania.
