South Africa survived a historic double Super Over clash against Afghanistan in Ahmedabad to keep their T20 World Cup hopes alive. After posting 187 runs powered by fifties from Quinton de Kock and Ryan Rickelton, the Proteas failed to defend the total in regulation as Afghanistan leveled the score. The match escalated into two tie-breakers before Kagiso Rabada sealed the win. Rahmanullah Gurbaz smashed a fifty but Afghanistan suffered their second consecutive Group D defeat.
