Russell secures Chinese GP Sprint pole, Verstappen eighth.
George Russell secured Sprint pole for the Chinese Grand Prix after setting the fastest lap of 1:31.520 at the Shanghai International Circuit. Mercedes locked out the front row with Kimi Antonelli finishing second. Lando Norris placed third ahead of Lewis Hamilton. Max Verstappen qualified eighth after struggling for pace. The result sets the grid for Saturday’s Sprint race.
