Rodri fined £80,000 for referee bias comments

Manchester City midfielder Rodri received a substantial financial penalty but avoided a playing ban. He was fined £80,000 by the Football Association on Monday, 9 March 2026, for post-match comments questioning a referee's neutrality. Rodri delivered these comments following Manchester City's two-all draw with Tottenham Hotspur on February 1, at which point he confessed to the improper conduct charge.
