Reservoirs “exceptionally low” in Somerset after driest spring in 50 years

Three heatwaves and the driest spring in over 50 years mean reservoirs in Somerset are at “exceptionally low” levels. The Environment Agency said that Blagdon, Wimbleball, and Clatworthy reservoirs are the three lowest in the country. While some rain is forecast for the weekend, forecasters say it won't be enough to ease current drought conditions.
