Real Madrid’s win over Benfica in the UEFA Champions League round of 16 was described by midfielder Aurélien Tchouaméni as a triumph for those who oppose racism. His comments came after an alleged racist remark was directed at teammate Vinícius Júnior during the game. The Spanish club submitted material to UEFA, which has launched an inquiry, and reaffirmed its commitment to combating discrimination in sport and beyond.
