Police Warn Parents After Needle Found in Halloween Chocolate Bar

Police in Northern Ireland have urged parents to check their children's Halloween treats after a sewing needle was discovered inside a wrapped chocolate bar in Rathfriland, County Down. No one was hurt. Officers advise families to look for tears, pinholes or broken seals in sweets, and to contact police rather than handle anything suspicious. Similar reports of pins in sweets are being investigated in Donegal.
