The Pentagon said the firing-squad execution of Fort Hood shooter Nidal Malik Hasan will be livestreamed when it takes place on 3 December at Fort Hood, Texas. Hasan was convicted of killing 13 people and wounding 32 in the 2009 base shooting. Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth had called the execution public; officials later confirmed a livestream with more details to follow. It would be the first US military execution in more than 65 years.
