A father in his fifties and his 15-year-old son are in a critical condition after two masked men stabbed them in their Thurnby home in Leicestershire. Police said the attack before 00:30 on Thursday appeared unprovoked. The boy's mother, in her forties, suffered minor injuries; three other children were unhurt. Detectives from the East Midlands Special Operations Unit are hunting the attackers over the weekend.
