Passengers can use another operator's service free if train is cancelled
From Sunday 20 September, passengers with cancelled trains can complete their journey using another operator's service without additional charges. The new scheme ends the need for costly re-bookings and waiting for operators to agree ticket acceptance. The scheme will grow to encompass CrossCountry, Great Western Railway, Avanti West Coast, and Chiltern Railways.
