Norris admits McLaren trails rivals in Bahrain testing
Reigning champion Lando Norris has admitted to lingering doubts over McLaren’s form after pre-season running in Bahrain. Although the team completed extensive testing, Norris feels they are currently behind Red Bull and Ferrari, pointing to shortcomings in energy usage. Red Bull’s Ford-supported power unit looks particularly strong on straights, but McLaren insists Mercedes will close the gap before racing begins.
