Millions of users can now use passkeys for government services

Over 23 million users can now access government services faster and more securely using passkeys on GOV.UK One Login. Passkeys let people sign in with a fingerprint, Face ID, or PIN, removing the need to remember or type passwords. The National Cyber Security Centre advocates for passkeys, citing their ability to safeguard against phishing and other cyber threats.
