In Puerto Rico, Argentina captain Lionel Messi was brought down by a supporter during an Inter Miami friendly against Independiente del Valle. The incident occurred late in the match after Messi, a second-half substitute, scored a penalty. Security quickly intervened, and Messi appeared unharmed despite hitting the turf with the fan and a guard. The game was a rescheduled fixture, previously postponed due to a hamstring injury Messi sustained.
