London children's lung capacity increased due to Ulez, study finds

A new study found children's lung capacity was restored after London's Ultra Low Emission Zone (Ulez) began. Researchers at Queen Mary University of London monitored 1,664 children in London and 1,750 in Luton between 2018 and 2022. London children experienced a reduction in nitrogen dioxide exposure at a rate double that seen in Luton.
