Lewis Hamilton questions complexity and speed of new F1 rules

Lewis Hamilton has offered a measured assessment of Formula One’s 2026 rules after early running in Bahrain. The Ferrari driver said the slimmer, lighter cars are enjoyable to drive but raised concerns about how much energy saving is needed during qualifying. He also questioned whether the complex power unit systems are accessible for supporters. However, the seven-time champion accepted that challenging track conditions may have skewed his early impressions of the car’s true performance.
