Iranian operatives used OpenAI models and fake identities to publish about 100 anti-US articles in a dozen global news outlets, OpenAI said on Thursday. The AI firm banned ChatGPT accounts used to tweak articles and create social media comments, some with provocative titles. While no major mainstream outlets were involved, some, like London's Middle East Monitor, have large online followings.
