The US Treasury sanctioned 17 vessels linked to Iran's shadow fleet that ships oil and gas, as part of Operation Economic Outcast. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said the move aims to starve Tehran of war funding. The ships span more than a dozen jurisdictions and include tankers that moved millions of barrels of Iranian crude. Washington says the campaign complements its blockade of Iranian ports.
