Google paying £260m to settle UK Play Store developer lawsuit

The cash will go to British developers who sold apps to Android users from August 2018 onwards. Competition law professor Barry Rodger launched the claim, arguing the tech firm forced unfair commissions onto businesses. Both sides agreed the compensation package shortly before court hearings were scheduled to begin at the Competition Appeal Tribunal on 15 September.
