The former leader of the DUP, Jeffrey Donaldson, received a 15-year prison sentence on Thursday after being convicted of child sexual abuse, including a rape charge. In June, the 63-year-old was found guilty of 18 sexual offences committed against two women during their childhood, charges he consistently refuted throughout the proceedings. Eleanor Donaldson, his wife, was determined to have assisted and encouraged his criminal acts.
