The Metropolitan Police will reopen a complaint about its arrest of Father Ted co-creator Graham Linehan after a watchdog found its handling inadequate. Linehan was arrested at Heathrow in September 2025 over three posts on X and later won an apology. The IOPC said the Met failed to explain the grounds for arrest and ordered it to reinvestigate his claim of discrimination over gender-critical beliefs.
