City of London drafting bill to remove Andrew's Freedom honour
Lawyers for the City of London Corporation are preparing legislation to establish a procedure for rescinding Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor's Freedom of the City of London honour. The Corporation indicated in March that the honour could not be withdrawn due to a lack of legal means. The proposed legislation is anticipated to be presented to the Policy and Resources Committee in September.
