Culture Secretary Lisa Nandy said she is minded to intervene in Sky's proposed £1.6 billion purchase of ITV's media and entertainment arm. She cited risks to free expression and UK news variety, and may order Competition and Markets Authority and Ofcom probes. Sky and ITV must reply by 20 October. The deal excludes ITV Studios.
