Chipmaker Nvidia is buying AI platform Hugging Face for $12.93 billion
The New York startup acts as a collaborative hub for coders to build and share artificial intelligence projects. Nvidia boss Jensen Huang promised the site will stay open to everyone, meaning users won't be forced to buy his company's processors. The huge deal pays $11.9 billion to current investors, alongside a $1 billion share package to keep existing staff on board.
