Britain's biggest meatpacker raises profit forecast after selling its vegan business

Hilton, the FTSE 250 packaging firm, now predicts pre-tax earnings of £66m to £71m, marking a 10% increase from earlier estimates. Back in July, the group sold off its underperforming Netherlands-based plant food division, Dalco, to rival manufacturer Livekindly for £5.4m. Although expensive raw materials squeezed early profits, company shares climbed 8.7% during Thursday morning trading in London.
