France starts testing Tesla driver assistance software ahead of European vote
French transport officials received two cars from Tesla, the electric car maker, to check safety data before a wider European Union decision. Philippe Tabarot, the French transport minister, discussed the software with Elon Musk, the boss of Tesla, on X after months of technical talks. Officials plan to finish their road checks later this month so the country can vote on the technology in the coming months.
