China flash flood kills 10 at Gansu tourist site
A flash flood at the Shuangshimen scenic area in Gansu province, northwest China, killed 10 people and injured 23, Chinese state media reported, with rescuers pulling 174 to safety. Sky News said the deaths came as Typhoon Noul and heavy flooding hit many parts of the country over the weekend. Officials said short-term downpours sent a mountain torrent through the tourist site, trapping campers.
