Michael Carrick rejected his player Matheus Cunha's suggestion that Manchester United lacked fitness after their 1-1 draw at Fulham on Sunday. Cunha, who scored United's 89th-minute goal, had criticised the team's effort in the second half. Carrick said he was happy with how his players finished the game, pushing for an equaliser until the end.
