Britain to change ADHD diagnosis rules as 800,000 wait for assessment
More than 800,000 people are currently waiting for an ADHD assessment or diagnosis in Britain. A government report is expected to recommend changing the process, so symptoms no longer automatically lead to a formal diagnosis. Professor Peter Fonagy, leading the review, believes people are incentivised to get a diagnosis, harming those benefits are meant to help.
