Birmingham City stadium land proposed as nature conservation site

A section of the 48-acre Wheels Park site, intended for Birmingham City FC's new stadium, has been put forward as a Site of Local Importance for Nature Conservation (SLINC). The proposal is due to a small area of rare grassland and woodlands supporting uncommon plant species.
