Badenoch demands emergency law to stop early prisoner releases

Kemi Badenoch, a conservative leader, has urged Prime Minister Andy Burnham to implement emergency legislation to prevent the early release of numerous prisoners. Last week, Burnham revealed he was halting the initiative, under which around 700 prisoners were due for release in the initial September phase. According to the Conservatives, the administration's reassessment will fail to prevent the liberation of dangerous criminals, such as those who commit rape and child sexual abuse.
