Who runs the Ballon d'Or?
The Ballon d'Or was originally created by France Football magazine. More recently, UEFA, European football's governing body, has partnered with France Football to co-organise the awards. This collaboration aims to enhance the award's global reach and prestige, bringing together two significant entities in the football world, as seen with the 2026 nominations.
