Why is London hosting?
Hosting the Ballon d'Or ceremony in London for the first time marks a significant moment for the award. It often rotates between major European cities, and London, with its rich footballing heritage and global appeal, is a fitting choice. This move helps to broaden the award's reach and celebrate football in different iconic locations.
